hii guys....so the much awaited mangalore car festival got over with the shower god almightys blessings. more than a thousand had participated including me. It was rea
lly of great fun. well people, time to confess!!! i actuall dint visit it. i went there at around 6 o clock, loafed around searching for my friends. I dint find any of my friends there neither did i find any thing of great fun there. Even the number of stalls had, compared to last year , fallen down. So i decided to leave to my hostel and come back the day next for ' okuli '. here are some pics of the car festival.......
So the next day was, as said, okuli. more that 50% of the boys were waiting for okuli than for car festival. Okuli happens to me more enjoyable than car festival.
it was my first time in okuli, i arrived at sharp 9am with my friend Ram, and saw a gatherig of some people around a truk on which the Djs were preparing to perform. I just couldnt believe that Djs were there.... they started off playing and remixing songs in their own so called 'unique style'. the music played was so good and provocatie beats that even a person wouldnt shake his leg, like me would start dancing. As the time went on, more number of DJs came in representing their sponsorers. At 11 0 clock, there were as many as 5 Djs performing at five different cornors of the temple. I found this a best example for a phrase called "orthodoxy in paradoxy". the Devine Car standing there carrying the GOD in it and Djs playing music at a mind blasting volume. People started throwing colours on their relatives faces.....me and ram were so much covered of colours that i couldnt recognise myself. at around 11.30, more that 3 water tankers came into seen, and added to the fun. they sprayed water at us, washing away all colours(or most of it) that our mates had us covered with.
It took a break at 2 0 clock. every one parted for lunch, and restarted at 5.
in between, food packets were given away at a shop, they also gave cool drinks for no cost. Even the Djs threw some fruti(or may be some other) packets down.

many such things happened which needs a lot of space to be mentioned. well the day gave a lot of fun it had promised. every one parted away with a smile on their face.
